The Latinx Faculty and Staff Association proudly announces Javier Rodriguez Aguilera as the Colibri Award recipient for the 2025-2026 school year.
Javier Rodriguez Aguilera joined Santa Rosa Junior College in 2012 as the Manager of Facility Use and Events Services and soon after became an active member of the Latinx Faculty and Staff Association (LFSA). Since then, he has provided unwavering support for events across all SRJC district sites, ensuring that district-wide events are thoughtfully planned and appropriately set up—work that is essential, though often behind the scenes.
Javier’s dedication and attention to detail have helped countless programs and initiatives succeed, particularly those centered on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. A true champion of equity, he has consistently provided leadership support to LFSA and played a key role in the development of SRJC’s Embracing a Culture of Inclusion program in 2016 and later participated in SRJC's Courageous Leaders Academy.
In recognition of his steadfast commitment to SRJC and his meaningful contributions to the many groups and programs that advance equity, diversity, and inclusion across the district, we are proud to honor Javier Rodriguez Aguilera with this year’s Colibrí Award.
